Privacy Policy
Sparrow Haven Home Care LLC, a Michigan limited liability company ("Sparrow Haven," "we," "us"), operates sparrowhavenhomecare.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site, by email, and by text message, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Consultation requests. Your name, phone number, email address, county, hours of care needed per week, best time to reach you, whether you agree to receive text messages, and any message you choose to write.
- Caregiver applications ("Join our team"). Your name, phone number, email address, county, availability, and any experience you choose to share.
- Email and text messages. When you email or text us, we receive your address or number and the content of your message, and we keep a record of the conversation.
- Technical information. Our hosting and security providers process technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested in order to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse. We do not store your IP address with your form submission. We use cookie-free, privacy-friendly analytics to count visits to the Site; it does not track you across other sites.
- Cookies. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our security provider may use strictly necessary technology to confirm that a form is submitted by a person and not a bot.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Health information
Our forms do not ask for health information, and we ask that you not include medical details in a form or email. We will talk through care needs with you by phone.
How we use your information
To respond to your request and schedule a consultation; to contact you by phone, email, or text about your request; to review caregiver applications; to operate, secure, and improve the Site; to keep records; and to comply with the law.
Text messages
If you check the text-message box on our form, we will send text messages about your request, such as confirming we received it and scheduling a call. Message frequency varies with your request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, and HELP for help. Consent to text messages is not a condition of receiving our services. Mobile information and text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers who help us run the Site and our business, such as providers of web hosting, bot protection, email delivery, text messaging, and data storage, and only to provide those services. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect rights, safety, or security, or in connection with a sale or reorganization of our business.
How long we keep information
We delete form submissions and email and text records twelve (12) months after we receive them, unless we need to keep them longer to resolve a dispute, enforce our agreements, or comply with the law.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you may opt out of texts and marketing at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, including the right to know, access, correct, and delete personal information, and the right not to be treated differently for exercising those rights. You may also have the right to appeal our decision by replying to our response.
Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and limit access to the information you send us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Do Not Track
The Site does not track you across other websites, so it does not respond to Do Not Track signals.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the most recent version. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
